HAnghaNG Trio
This all acoustic trio
focuses on the sound of many Hang which floats amidst steel pan, gong and
gamelan creating a sensuous interplay of metal, wind and clay with udu, bass
clarinet, and occasional bansuri and tabla. A rich mixture of composition and improvisation.
The Green
Music Network creates and shares experiences of resonance by producing events
with artists and instruments that explore pure intonation. In addition to the Cave Concerts,
Kirtans and Sound Egg workshops produced by GMN, 2010 also marks the launch of
a Natural Resonance concert series.
Trading traditional western tuning systems of equal temperament for
musical mobility and resonance is a road less traveled with few practitioners.
The Natural Resonance concert series opens with Mark Deutsch, followed by an
exciting array of artists well-versed in resonance practices including the
Unusual Instruments Trio, Baraka Moon, the HAnghaNg Trio, Sabbaticus Rex and
the Timo Trio for this inaugural year.
